No matter how talented you are, your writing won’t get anywhere if no one reads it. With the right promotion strategy, you can dramatically increase the number of eyes on your articles and blogs. It isn’t easy to get new readers, but some tried-and-true strategies will help you get more eyes on your articles than ever before. Here are five tips to boost your views and make sure more people read what you write online.

Choose the Right Title

Your title is the first (and sometimes only) thing potential readers will see, so it’s important to choose something eye-catching and relevant. Here are five tips to help you write titles that will boost your views.

  1. Make sure the title reflects what people want to read about in just a few words — don’t give away too much in the title.
  2. Try using some of these popular words in your titles: good, best, new, better. These words can be powerful motivators for people who are interested in those topics.
  3. Don’t forget to include keywords! The keywords themselves should make sense for your topic, but including them at least once or twice in a sentence is a good idea as well — this helps with SEO (search engine optimization).
  4. Pay attention to what’s trending right now, often times if something goes viral, other similar things may take off at around the same time as well. If someone has recently posted a rant about their experience at Walmart, then maybe Walmart related content might go up soon after.
  5. Use social media hashtags in your title to get more eyes on your articles by getting them noticed by more people. You’ll have to do some research ahead of time to figure out which hashtags might work best for you, but there are plenty of sites available where you can type in any word and get suggestions for popular hashtags related to that word. You could even use two or three different ones together in one post, depending on how relevant they are.

Add a Strong Lead

You’ve written a great article. You’ve hit publish and…crickets. Getting more eyes on your articles doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming. Try these five simple tips to give your views a boost.

  1. Add a strong lead sentence — Use the first paragraph of your post to hook readers in. It should draw them in with an engaging sentence that gives them an idea of what they’re about to read about.
  2. Highlight important points — Bold, italicize, or highlight keywords and phrases that are most pertinent to the main point of the post. Don’t forget relevant links!
  3. Provide expert advice — Did you learn something from personal experience? Share it with others by including some expert advice in your post.
  4. Ask questions — Pose questions at the end of each blog post that leaves readers wondering what might happen next. Make sure they can answer it themselves too!
  5. Maintain consistency — If you’re blogging regularly, there’s no need to change things up all the time. Consistency will bring more people back for new posts.

Add Pictures

Adding pictures to your articles can help boost your views. People are more likely to click on an article that has an image than one without. It is also easier for people to read through the text when there is a picture as it helps break up the words and make it easier for the reader to understand what you are trying to say.

Don’t Add Blurry Pictures: If you want your readers to be able to see your picture, don’t use blurry images. Be sure that the picture is clear enough so they can see what it is in detail and with little effort.

Use Pictures That Relate To The Topic: Choose a picture that relates directly to the topic of your post or blog, not just any random photo from Google Images or Pinterest.

Add Links

If you want to get more eyes on your articles, there are a few things you can do to boost your views. First, make sure you’re sharing your articles on social media. This will help get your article in front of more people. Second, post links to your articles on forums and discussion boards related to your topic.

This will help generate interest and drive traffic to your article. Third, submit your article to article directories and syndication sites. This will give it more exposure and help it reach a larger audience. Fourth, add an eye-catching headline and meta description to encourage clicks. Fifth, promote your article through email marketing and other channels.

Use Questions

Asking readers questions gets them involved in your material. Moe interaction also leads to possible future readers. If they like being able to interact with your articles they may look forward to your next piece of work. Here are 7 things to try.

  1. Write headlines that ask questions.
  2. Find out what people are searching for and answer their questions.
  3. Use social media to ask people to share your article if they found it helpful.
  4. Quiz your readers at the end of each article and link to related articles they might be interested in.
  5. Pay attention to the headlines that get the most clicks and adjust accordingly.
  6. Make sure your articles are well-written and offer value to the reader.
  7. Keep trying new things until you find what works best for you and your audience.

Conclusion

Don’t be late to the party, and understand when a topic’s virality is waning. People move quickly on to the next news item, and you must be alert to catch a piece of the wave. Make sure to research trending topics and use the right tags. You should start to see my eyeballs on your articles.
